This past weekend (27-29 March), Rome hosted the Streeat Food Truck Festival, a traveling outdoor festival celebrating great Italian street food, in the neighborhood of Testaccio.
The Streeat Food Truck Festival travels all over Italy, it began in Rome this year, and will be moving to Florence, Bologna Sarzana, Padova and Milan. Along with offering delicious food, the festival puts on music and other entertainment. At the latest Rome edition there was a carousel for children run by bike, bike rentals, and even a mini massage tent!

Frankie Panebianco a study abroad student from The American University of Rome said "I feel like I saw a whole new atmosphere of Italy. It's not something I think people expect to see. When I think of Italy, I don't think of people selling food out of food trucks, I think of food coming from restaurants."
The event was busy but the food was worth it. Angel Sweet, resident student from Virginia said "The lines were rather extreme, but the food I did wait for was delicious. Especially that waffle completely covered in chocolate and whipped cream!"
